Rawlings OFFICIAL LEAGUE R12U baseballs are leather-covered, cork-and-rubber core balls designed for game and practice play in Youth 12U leagues, sold in a box of 24.

These Rawlings R12U baseballs are built to meet the demands of youth competition and development. With a wound solid cork and rubber center and a durable leather cover, they balance consistent flight with long-lasting wear. Coaches and league organizers choose these balls when they need reliable performance for both drills and game-day use.

What makes R12U baseballs suitable for 12U leagues?

The R12U is sized and constructed with youth players in mind—offering predictable flight and a feel familiar to players transitioning through age groups. The materials and build are tuned to provide consistent playability across practices and official games without the fragility of cheaper alternatives.

• Wound solid cork and rubber center for steady rebound and feel
• Durable leather cover that resists scuffing and weathering
• Standard seam height and stitching for consistent grip and spin
• Box of 24 supply reduces interruptions during team practices and games

How do these baseballs perform in both game and practice settings?

Rawlings R12U balls are engineered to deliver reliable performance whether used in a scrimmage or a full league game. The construction ensures the ball keeps shape and flight characteristics over multiple uses, making it cost-effective for regular team use.

• Leather cover maintains surface integrity over repeated batting and fielding
• Consistent core construction reduces unpredictable hops and carries
• Suitable for pitchers, infielders, and outfield drills without rapid degradation

How durable are Rawlings leather-covered youth baseballs?

The leather cover and wound core combination was selected to resist tearing and flattening common with lower-quality baseballs. While no youth baseball lasts forever under heavy use, Rawlings prioritizes materials and assembly that extend usable life compared with basic training balls.

• Quality leather stands up to repeated grounders and catches
• Stitched seams hold up under frequent throwing
• Boxed quantity saves wear on individual balls by rotating use

What comes in the box and how should teams manage inventory?

You receive 24 Rawlings OFFICIAL LEAGUE R12U baseballs—enough for practices, pickups, and several games. Teams can designate balls for specific uses (games vs. batting practice) to maximize lifespan and track replacements as balls wear.

• Box of 24, ready for team distribution and storage
• Rotate balls between games and practice to prolong life
• Label or color-code game balls to keep match-day quality consistent
