SMITH Daredevil Youth Ski & Snowboard Goggles, Black, Clear, One Size OTG Carbonic-x Lens

The SMITH Daredevil Youth Goggles with a Carbonic-x clear lens are black, semi-rimless kid's ski and snowboard goggles engineered to deliver a wide, clear field of view, impact resistance, and a comfortable over-the-glasses fit for young riders.

Designed specifically for growing freeriders and everyday mountain play, these youth goggles combine a semi-rimless frame with a cylindrical Carbonic-x lens to prioritize visibility and durability. The floating triple-layer face foam reduces pressure from eyeglass temples while integrated venting improves airflow to help reduce fogging. Smith built these for easy helmet integration and dependable performance in a compact, kid-friendly package.

How do these goggles improve visibility on the hill?

The semi-rimless design opens up your peripheral vision so children can better scan terrain and obstacles. The clear Carbonic-x lens keeps contrast neutral and transmits maximum light in low-light or night conditions while remaining impact resistant.

• Semi-rimless frame for an expanded field of view
• Carbonic-x cylindrical lens for optical clarity and toughness
• Clear tint for high light transmission during overcast or evening runs
• Anti-fog venting to maintain consistent sightlines

Will these goggles fit over my kid’s prescription glasses?

Yes—Smith engineered the Daredevil Youth with an over-the-glasses (OTG) friendly floating foam design that relieves ear and temple pressure from spectacles. The internal shape provides space for most children's frames while maintaining a sealed, comfortable fit against the face.

• Floating triple-layer foam creates room for eyeglass temples
• OTG-compatible internal volume for most youth frames
• Secure strap and frame geometry to keep glasses stable during activity

How durable and safe are the lenses for active kids?

The Carbonic-x lens is made to withstand impacts that occur during play and lessons while preserving optical clarity. It balances lightweight construction with higher resistance to breakage than typical plastics used in budget goggles.

• Carbonic-x material engineered for impact resistance
• Cylindrical shape reduces distortion in the central field
• Robust frame integration to protect the lens edge

How well do these goggles work with helmets and reduce fogging?

The Daredevil Youth pairs with Smith helmets for integrated venting and a secure, comfortable interface. Combined helmet/goggle vent design and the lens’ airflow characteristics lower interior humidity and help prevent fog during active use.

• Helmet-compatible strap shape for a steady, centered fit
• Frame venting aligned with lens ventilation for airflow
• Foam and gasket materials that wick moisture away from skin

Who is this for? The SMITH Daredevil Youth Goggles in black with a clear Carbonic-x lens are ideal for kids who spend time learning, freeriding, or enjoying family runs in variable light conditions. They suit young riders who need OTG capability, a wide field of view, and a durable, fog-resistant goggle that pairs easily with helmets. If you want a compact, performance-minded youth goggle built to Smith’s outdoors heritage, this model provides practical protection and clear sightlines without extra bulk.
