Sports Unlimited Omaha 7-Pad Integrated Youth Football Girdle for Boys, Size XX-Small, Compression Fit with Cup Pocket

Sports Unlimited Omaha 7 Pad Integrated Youth Football Girdle is a lightweight, compression-style under-girdle with seven built-in pads that protects hips, thighs, knees and tailbone while fitting under game pants.

This youth-designed football girdle combines a slim compression fit with molded padding to give young players collision-zone protection without bulk. Built to wear under traditional football pants, the Omaha girdle places padding exactly where impacts happen most, and a cup pocket adds versatility for older players who need groin protection (cup not included). It’s available in common youth waist sizes so you can get a snug performance fit that supports mobility on the field.

How does the 7-pad design protect a young player during contact?

The integrated pads target key contact points—hips, thighs, knees and tailbone—to reduce direct impact to those areas while allowing layering under normal football pants. Pads are slim-profile to disperse force without restricting leg motion, and the tailbone pad cushions lower-back strikes from falls or tackles.

• Hip pads: molded coverage over the iliac crest for side impacts
• Thigh pads: anterior thigh protection for block and tackle contact
• Knee pads: low-profile padding near the kneecap for ground contact
• Tailbone pad: shock-absorbing cushioning at the posterior pelvis

Will the compression fit hinder running, agility, or layering?

No — the girdle’s compression fabric is engineered to move with an athlete, offering a snug feel that supports muscles without constricting range of motion. Its slim profile makes it easy to wear beneath standard football pants and avoids the bunching or shifting that can happen with bulkier protective gear.

• Compression fit supports muscle alignment and reduces fabric movement
• Slim pad placement preserves natural hip and knee flexion
• Lightweight construction works well under multiple pant layers

What sizing options are available for youth players and how should I choose a size?

The Sports Unlimited Omaha youth girdle comes in sizes from XXS through XL covering waist measurements commonly used for youth players. Measure your child’s natural waist and choose the closest size for a secure compression fit; if between sizes, size up for extra room or if using a protective cup (cup not included).

• XXS: 16–18" waist
• XS: 18–20" waist
• S: 20–22" waist
• M: 24–26" waist
• L: 28–30" waist
• XL: 32–34" waist

Does the girdle include a cup and how is groin protection handled?

The girdle features a built-in cup pocket so a protective cup can be added, but the cup itself is not included. The pocket secures a standard-sized cup so players who require additional groin protection can insert their chosen cup for practices or games.

• Cup pocket integrated into front panel for optional groin protection
• Compatible with most standard youth athletic cups (sold separately)
• Pocket placement keeps the cup stable during play

It’s a fit choice for youth linemen, skill players, and any athlete who prefers a low-profile protective layer under game pants. Coaches and teams looking for consistent protection and easy sizing for program-issued gear will also appreciate the integrated pad layout and cup pocket option.
