Springfield Plug-In Power-Rise Air-Ride Pedestal seat — Vehicle Seat, 22-1/4"–28-3/4" height, pneumatic shock absorption

The Springfield 1300902 Plug-In Power-Rise Air-Ride Pedestal is an adjustable, lockable marine seat pedestal that raises and cushions the seat from 22-1/4" to 28-3/4" for stable, comfortable boating.

This pedestal combines a pneumatic air-ride base with a plug-in power-rise mechanism to deliver height adjustability, vibration damping, and a positive rotation lock. Built to ABYC Type B standards, it’s intended for anglers, captains, and passengers seeking a stable seating platform on a variety of small and mid-size boats. The pedestal’s compact footprint and simple controls make it easy to install and operate while underway.

How does the power-rise and air-ride system improve comfort on a boat?

The power-rise raises or lowers the seat smoothly to match helm or casting positions, while the air-ride element absorbs shock from waves and engine vibration. Together they reduce fatigue and help you maintain balance during long outings.

• Pneumatic cushioning reduces vertical jolt and trail vibrations.
• Power-rise provides incremental height control between 22-1/4" and 28-3/4".
• Compact column design keeps the center of gravity low for stability.

Can I lock the pedestal to stop seat rotation, and how secure is it?

Yes — the Springfield pedestal includes a reliable lock that prevents rotation when engaged and allows free swivel when released. The locking mechanism sits within the pedestal assembly for durable, on-deck performance.

• Positive lock to secure seating orientation while underway or when fishing.
• Unlocks for smooth 360° swivel if needed for visibility or access.
• Robust construction resists corrosion and loosening under load.

What are the size and installation considerations for this pedestal?

The pedestal adjusts from 22-1/4" to 28-3/4", making it suitable for consoles, casting platforms, and mezzanines. Mounting requires matching base and top plate bolt patterns and adherence to ABYC Type B mounting practices for safe installation.

• Height range: 22-1/4" to 28-3/4" to fit varied helm and deck heights.
• Compact footprint fits many factory and aftermarket seat bases.
• Follow ABYC Type B guidelines for secure deck attachment and wiring for the plug-in feature.

What maintenance or durability features should I expect?

Designed for marine use, the Springfield pedestal uses materials and finishes that resist saltwater exposure and frequent use. Routine checks of fasteners and the pneumatic system will keep the unit performing reliably for seasons of boating.

• Marine-grade materials and coatings minimize corrosion risk.
• Simple service points for inspecting fasteners and air fittings.
• Plug-in power-rise avoids complex hardwiring for easier replacement or service.

Who is this for: The Springfield 1300902 suits boat owners who prioritize adjustable seating with shock absorption — anglers who need steady casting platforms, captains who want comfortable helm seating, and recreational boaters wanting a safer, less fatiguing ride. If you require ABYC Type B compatibility, a compact pedestal footprint, and a lockable swivel combined with a pneumatic cushion and powered rise, this pedestal is a practical choice. Confirm base and top plate mounting compatibility with your seat or deck layout before purchase, and plan periodic inspections to maintain performance and longevity.
