Springfield Marine Taper-Lock 13" Hi-Lo Post is a fixed 13-inch, 2-3/8-inch diameter post designed to work with Taper-Lock bases and Hi-Lo swivels (sold separately) for adjustable seating setups on boats.

This Taper-Lock post from Springfield Marine provides a sturdy, corrosion-resistant mounting solution for boat seats and accessories. Finished with a brite-dip coating, the post is built to resist the elements while offering a universal fit with standard Taper-Lock bases. It’s a simple replacement or upgrade when you need a dependable, fixed-height post that pairs with the Hi-Lo swivel mechanism for added seat adjustment.

Will this post fit my existing Taper-Lock base?

The Springfield Marine post is made to pair with any standard Taper-Lock base; compatibility is broad but depends on the base and accessory dimensions. Check your base model and the manufacturer’s guidelines to confirm alignment and fit before ordering.

• Standard diameter: 2-3/8" to match common Taper-Lock openings
• Fixed overall height: 13" from base to top
• Universal fit intended for typical marine seating setups
• Works with Taper-Lock Hi-Lo swivel assemblies (sold separately)

How durable is the brite-dip finish in marine environments?

The brite-dip finish provides a corrosion-resistant surface that helps shield the post from salt air and moisture. While it improves longevity, regular inspection and maintenance will help maintain appearance and function in harsh conditions.

• Brite-dip coating reduces surface corrosion and wear
• Wipe clean with fresh water after exposure to salt spray
• Periodic checks for fastener tightness and finish integrity advised

Can I use a Hi-Lo swivel with this fixed-height post?

Yes — the post is intended for use with Hi-Lo swivels designed for Taper-Lock posts; the swivel itself is not included. Combining the fixed post with a compatible Hi-Lo swivel provides seat height adjustment while keeping the mounting secure.

• Swivels are sold separately and must match Taper-Lock specifications
• Ensure swivel and seat plate bolt patterns align with your seat
• Follow torque and installation guidance from component manufacturers

What are the exact dimensions and installation notes?

The Springfield Marine post measures 13 inches tall overall with a 2-3/8-inch diameter shaft suitable for Taper-Lock fittings. Installation typically involves sliding the post into a compatible tapered base and securing any locking hardware per the base or swivel instructions.

• Total height: 13" (fixed)
• Shaft diameter: 2-3/8" to fit standard tapered receivers
• Use with any Taper-Lock base; base and swivel sold separately
• Refer to manufacturer installation guidelines for proper fit
