Tendelux Drain Plug Underwater Boat Light — Blue 36× LEDs, 2000 Lumens, 316L Stainless

The Tendelux Drain Plug Light is a 1/2" NPT replacement drain-plug lamp that delivers marine-grade, underwater blue illumination using 36 high-output LEDs for up to 2000 lumens of light.

Designed to replace a standard boat drain plug, this compact underwater light brings bright blue illumination to the transom area, swim platforms, kayaks and personal watercraft without complicated installation. Built from marine-grade 316L stainless steel and an engineered thermoplastic polymer heatsink, the Tendelux DL20B balances corrosion resistance and thermal performance. The IP68 rating and plug-and-play cabling make it a practical retrofit for recreational boaters who want improved night visibility and a stronger nighttime presence on the water.

How bright is this drain plug light and what power does it need?

The Tendelux DL20B uses thirty-six 3W LEDs to produce roughly 2000 lumens while drawing about 20 watts of power. That makes it one of the most efficient drain-plug lamps available, giving significant underwater output with modest current draw.

• 36 × 3W high-output blue LEDs for intense color and spread
• Approximately 2000 lumens of total underwater illumination
• 20W power consumption for efficient operation on typical 12V systems
• Supplied 7 ft power cord and waterproof connectors for simple wiring

Will it hold up to saltwater and rough marine use?

The housing and heat-management components are chosen for long-term marine performance. A 316L stainless steel exterior resists corrosion while the thermoplastic polymer heatsink helps dissipate heat without adding galvanic risk.

• 316L marine-grade stainless-steel body for saltwater resistance
• Thermoplastic polymer heatsink engineered for thermal stability
• IP68 waterproof rating for continuous submersion and splash protection
• Designed to withstand normal marine wear and environmental exposure

How easy is installation and what comes in the box?

Installation is intended to be straightforward: the light replaces a 1/2" NPT drain plug and connects with the included waterproof connectors and extension cable. Tendelux supplies the common accessories to help you finish the job without additional trips to the store.

• Compact 1/2" threaded design fits standard drain-plug fittings
• Includes waterproof connectors, 7 ft power cord, fuse, and wrench
• Thread seal tape and a waterproof carrying bag included for protection
• Plug-and-play setup reduces installation time and complexity

What reliability and support can I expect after purchase?

Tendelux pairs the product with an 18-month warranty and lifetime friendly support to address defects and installation questions. The combination of durable materials and customer support aims to provide long-term value for recreational boat owners.

• 18-month warranty covering manufacturing defects
• Lifetime friendly support from Tendelux for setup and troubleshooting
• Included 5A fuse for initial electrical protection
• Comprehensive kit: light, cabling, tools, and manual

Who is this for: The Tendelux DL20B drain plug light suits weekend boaters, anglers, rental operators and watersport enthusiasts who want a compact, powerful underwater lighting solution that installs into an existing 1/2" drain-plug port. It’s ideal for owners looking to enhance after-dark visibility, create a more attractive wake-area appearance, or add safety lighting around boarding and swim platforms without complex hull modifications.
