USGI Industries Tri-Fold Entrenching Tool Shovel with OCP Cover, 6.25in Serrated Steel Blade, Folds to 9.25in

The USGI Industries Tri-Fold Entrenching Tool is a compact, military-style folding shovel with a serrated steel blade and an OCP camouflage carrier for digging, sawing roots, and compact storage.

Built to perform in demanding outdoor situations, this entrenching tool pairs a heavy-duty steel blade with a locking aluminum collar and a folding handle to deliver versatile digging, chopping, and hoeing capabilities. The included OCP (Operational Camouflage Pattern) carrier protects other gear while keeping the folded tool secure and easy to stow in a pack, vehicle, or kit. Finished in low-reflective black, it’s made for field use where durability and compact transportability matter.

How does this shovel handle tough soil and roots?

The shovel features a 6.25-inch-wide steel blade engineered to penetrate hard-packed dirt, clay, and gravel. A serrated edge on one side lets you saw through roots and brush without switching tools, saving time when clearing a campsite or digging a trench.

• 6.25 in heavy steel blade for robust digging
• Serrated edge for cutting roots and small branches
• Black anti-reflective finish reduces glare and corrosion risk
• Hardened edge stands up to abrasive ground conditions

What folding and locking features make it packable and stable?

The tri-fold design collapses the tool from 23.25 inches to just 9.25 inches so it fits into tight spaces. An aluminum twist-lock collar secures the blade either straight for shoveling or at 90 degrees for hoeing, providing a stable working position during heavy use.

• Folds down to 9.25 in for easy storage in packs or vehicle kits
• Aluminum locking collar for firm blade orientation
• Lock position supports both shovel and hoe configurations
• Weighs about 2.5 lb with carrier for manageable carry weight

What does the OCP carrier offer and how does it attach?

The included OCP camouflage carrier is tailored to fit the folded entrenching tool and protect other gear from the blade’s edge. It mounts easily to belts, packs, or MOLLE webbing, keeping the shovel accessible and preventing accidental contact with the metal blade when stored.

• Fitted OCP pouch keeps blade covered and secure
• Compatible with belts, packs, or MOLLE platforms
• Saves space and prevents blade damage to other items
• Allows quick deployment from a vehicle or carry kit

How durable is the tool and what warranty is included?

Constructed from heavy steel with a robust folding mechanism and a corrosion-resistant finish, the tool is designed for repeated use in rugged environments. USGI Industries backs the product with a limited lifetime warranty, reflecting confidence in its long-term reliability.

• Heavy steel construction resists bending and wear
• Anti-reflective black finish helps prevent rust
• Robust locking collar and hinges for repeated folding cycles
• Limited lifetime warranty through USGI Industries

If you want a single, packable tool that handles heavy soil, cuts roots, and stores safely in an OCP pouch, this entrenching tool is built to meet those needs without taking up much room.
