WILSON NCAA Evo NXT Official Indoor Game Basketball, Optic Yellow/Orange, Size 7 (29.5 in), Balanced Core

This collegiate-grade game ball blends updated optics with an engineered internal core and a Micro-Touch surface to support consistent shooting and confident ball handling during high-stakes play. Engineered for indoor competition and approved by the authors of elite amateur basketball, the Evo NXT is optimized for players who rely on range, feel, and quick tactile feedback.

How does the Evo NXT improve long-range shooting?

Extended Range Technology and a balanced internal construction work together to reduce wobble and deliver a truer flight path for shots beyond the arc. The combination of core tuning and weight distribution helps shooters find a repeatable release and predictable trajectory.

• Optimized core balance for steadier mid- to long-range flight
• Consistent compression across the ball for repeatable bounces
• Engineered for predictable rotation and backspin

What grip and feel can I expect on every touch?

The Micro-Touch Cover uses a dual-texture system—micro-texture layered over pebbled channels—to channel away moisture and create immediate tactile feedback. This design yields a secure hold in fast passes, catch-and-shoot scenarios, and contested handling.

• Micro-Touch exterior for a soft, responsive feel at release
• Pebbled channels that displace moisture and maintain traction
• Enhanced control for dribbling, passing, and shooting in indoor gym conditions

Will this ball meet official competition standards?

Yes—this model is the official NCAA game ball and also carries NFHS approval for high school play. It meets the size and performance specifications used in organized collegiate and scholastic competition.

• Official NCAA game ball used during NCAA March Madness
• NFHS-approved for sanctioned high school competition
• Standard size 7 (29.5") for men’s collegiate play

How do the updated colors and visibility help during games?

The optic yellow/orange colorway increases contrast against gym backgrounds and lighting, making the ball easier to track in motion. This visual improvement supports quicker reaction times for players and officials during fast sequences.

• High-contrast optic yellow/orange for clearer visibility
• Improved detection in darker arenas and under varied lighting
• Color designed to reduce lost sight during long-range attempts
