YETI Hopper M20 Backpack Soft Cooler, Cape Taupe, MagShield Access and ColdCell Insulation

The YETI Hopper M20 Backpack is a rugged, soft-sided cooler with MagShield access that carries drinks and perishables while keeping them cold on the move.

Built for hikers, commuters, and weekend adventurers, the Hopper M20 blends YETI durability with a compact backpack form factor. Its MagShield Access closure and ColdCell insulation help preserve contents for day-long outings, while the DryHide shell resists punctures and UV damage. This Cape Taupe colorway offers a neutral, outdoor-ready look that pairs with gear and apparel.

How does the MagShield access make opening and closing easier?

The MagShield Access uses powerful magnets to create a leak-resistant seal that stays open when you want it and snaps closed with a gentle push. It removes the need to wrestle with zippers or roll-top fasteners, making entry quick and intuitive.

• Magnetic closure forms an ultra-tight seal to reduce spills.
• Stays open for hands-free loading and unloading.
• Simple push-to-close action for fast resealing on the trail.

How long will ColdCell insulation keep items cold during a day trip?

ColdCell closed-cell foam is engineered to hold ice and chilled food effectively for day-long use. While actual cold retention depends on outside temperature and how often you open the cooler, ColdCell provides reliable performance for typical daily outings.

• Closed-cell foam minimizes heat transfer from outside.
• Optimized internal volume for ice and beverages without excess air space.
• Best used with ice packs or block ice for extended chill time.

Is the Hopper M20 durable enough for backcountry use?

Yes — the DryHide shell and rugged construction were designed to resist abrasion, punctures, and UV exposure so the cooler stands up to rough handling. Reinforced seams and heavy-duty webbing add to the overall toughness for outdoor conditions.

• DryHide high-density fabric resists punctures and sun damage.
• Reinforced straps and handles for secure carry over uneven terrain.
• HitchPoint Grid lets you attach accessories for added utility.

What practical features make this a convenient everyday cooler?

The Hopper M20 combines backpack straps, a top haul handle, and accessory attachment points so it works for daily errands as well as outdoor trips. Thoughtful touches like the MagShield opening and interior layout simplify packing and retrieving items quickly.

• Padded backpack straps distribute weight for comfortable carrying.
• HitchPoint Grid accepts SideKick Dry Gear Case and MOLLE accessories.
• Compact footprint fits under seats or in tight car spaces.
