Cliff Keen F5 Tornado Wrestling Headgear — Black with Collegiate Blue Accents, Lightweight NASA‑Inspired Fit

The Cliff Keen F5 Tornado Headgear is a lightweight, NASA-inspired wrestling headguard engineered for fast, secure fitting and dependable ear protection during matches and practice.

Built to combine low weight with strong impact management, the F5 Tornado Headgear takes cues from aerospace research to reduce bulk while preserving coverage. Its streamlined shell and the PowerTab strapping system let athletes get a snug, repeatable fit quickly, so the headgear stays in place during takedowns and scrambles. Finished in a black shell with collegiate blue accents, this model balances performance-focused features with a clean, team-ready look.

How does the F5 Tornado keep feel and coverage without extra weight?

The headgear uses a sculpted shell pattern informed by fluid dynamics research to remove unnecessary material while maintaining protection over the ears and temples. Foam and padding are placed strategically so you get cushion where it matters and air where you don't need it.

• NASA-inspired shell contouring for reduced bulk
• Targeted foam placement for efficient cushioning
• Vented areas that help lower overall weight and heat

What makes the PowerTab strapping system faster and more reliable?

The PowerTab straps are designed to be adjusted quickly and to lock in position, so you can tighten the headgear with minimal fuss between matches. The tabs give tactile feedback for a consistent setting and reduce strap slippage during intense movement.

• Quick-adjust tabs for faster donning and tightening
• Secure locking to minimize mid-match adjustments
• Simplified strap layout for predictable, repeatable fit

How does this headgear perform during practices and tournaments?

Lightweight construction and a stable fit help the F5 Tornado remain comfortable through long practices and high-tempo competition. Because it stays in place, athletes can focus on technique instead of repeatedly re-securing their gear.

• Low-profile shape that minimizes interference with movement
• Durable materials built to withstand frequent use
• Design that balances protection with ventilation for longer wear

Which features help it fit a wide range of athletes?

The F5 Tornado offers an adjustable system and a forgiving shell geometry so it adapts to different head shapes. Team staff and coaches appreciate how quickly it can be sized for wrestlers in multi-athlete settings.

• Adjustable PowerTab straps for fine-tuned tension
• Ergonomic shell that accommodates varied head profiles
• Quick-fit design ideal for locker-room or bench adjustments

Wrestlers seeking a modern, performance-first headguard — from youth athletes to high school and collegiate competitors — will value the Cliff Keen F5 Tornado for its combination of low weight, purposeful protection, and fast-fitting straps.
