Cyalume 6-inch Military-Grade Red Glow Sticks, 8-Hour ChemLights, Pack of 10

The Cyalume 6" military-grade red ChemLight is a rugged, waterproof emergency glow stick that delivers reliable red illumination for up to 8 hours.

When electricity fails or a silent, non-flammable light source is needed, these tactical glow sticks are built to perform. Manufactured in the USA to the same standards used by the U.S. military, each 6-inch red ChemLight activates instantly with a simple bend, snap and shake. They’re designed for demanding environments — underwater, confined spaces, outdoor adventures, and operational signaling — offering a safe, maintenance-free light that won’t require batteries or flames.

How long will a single Cyalume red ChemLight illuminate?

Each activated 6" ChemLight provides steady red light for up to 8 hours under normal conditions. Brightness gradually decreases over time but remains visible for signaling or area illumination throughout the rated period.

• Rated duration: up to 8 hours of continuous glow
• Designed for consistent 360° light output
• Visibility: high-intensity red that can be seen at long range for signaling
• Performance maintained in wet and cold conditions

Are these safe to use around people, pets, and in confined spaces?

Cyalume ChemLights use a non-toxic, non-flammable chemical formula, making them appropriate for close-quarters use. Because they produce light without heat, open flame, or electricity, they are safer than candles or torches in many emergency or tactical scenarios.

• Non-toxic chemiluminescent formula for safe handling
• Non-flammable construction reduces fire risk
• Suitable for underwater and enclosed-space applications
• No batteries, sparks, or heat generated during operation

How do I activate and deploy these glow sticks in the field?

Activation is fast and tool-free: bend the stick until an inner vial breaks, snap, then shake to mix the chemicals. Each stick includes a hook-and-gate top so you can hang, clip, or string multiple ChemLights to mark routes, hazards, or campsites.

• Activation steps: bend, snap, shake — no extra parts needed
• Hook-and-gate top secures to gear, lines, or clothing
• Compact 6" length fits into first-aid kits, survival packs, and pockets
• Bulk pack: 10 sticks for squad, family, or group use

What makes Cyalume ChemLights different from consumer party glow sticks?

Cyalume manufactures tactical and survival-grade chemiluminescent lights to military specifications, not novelty items. Each ChemLight meets DLA and NAMSA standards and is produced under stringent quality controls, ensuring consistent activation and performance when it matters most.

• Used and trusted by U.S. military and government agencies for decades
• Meets Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) and NATO (NAMSA) specifications
• Durable construction for rough handling, submersion, and varied temperatures
• NSN numbers printed on product for official reference and inventory

Who is this for? Cyalume red 6" ChemLights are intended for anyone who needs dependable, portable illumination without electricity: military and tactical teams, emergency-preparedness planners, search-and-rescue crews, campers, boaters, and families assembling disaster kits. They’re also useful for event coordinators, night-time trail marking, and underwater signaling. If you require a safe, long-lasting, and easy-to-deploy red light source that stores quietly until needed, these ChemLights offer a proven solution.
