Cyalume 6" Yellow Glow Sticks 10-Pack, Military-Grade ChemLight with 8-Hour Waterproof Brightness

Cyalume 6-inch yellow ChemLight glow sticks are military-grade, waterproof chemical lights that provide bright, hands-free illumination for up to eight hours when electricity isn’t available.

Compact and rugged, these 6" yellow ChemLights are built to the exacting standards used by U.S. military and government agencies. Each stick activates instantly with a simple bend, snap and shake to produce 360-degree visible light suitable for tactical signaling, emergency kits, camping, underwater marking and confined-space illumination. Made in the USA under strict quality controls, the pack of 10 delivers a reliable, non-flammable and non-toxic light source you can store for years.

How bright and long-lasting are these glow sticks?

These yellow ChemLights are formulated to produce a high intensity glow visible at long range and designed to remain useful for the duration of a typical overnight emergency. While peak brightness occurs shortly after activation, the light remains usable for up to eight hours under normal conditions.

• 360-degree illumination for even area coverage
• Visible from long distances for signaling and marking
• Rated for approximately eight hours of functional light
• Consistent performance across a wide temperature range

Are these safe to use around children and in confined spaces?

Cyalume ChemLights use non-toxic internal chemistry and are non-flammable, making them safer than open flames or battery-powered lights in many situations. They are commonly issued for camps, emergency kits and family preparedness supplies because they don’t produce heat or sparks and can be used in enclosed areas and underwater.

• Non-flammable construction reduces fire risk
• Non-toxic formula minimizes hazard if intact
• Waterproof design suitable for submerged marking or wetsuit use
• Easy activation avoids the need for matches or lighters

How do I attach or carry the ChemLights during use?

Each 6" light stick includes a hook-and-gate top that secures the light when hanging, stringing, or clipping it to gear. That hardware makes them practical for campsite lighting, trail markers, vehicle emergencies, or tactical setups where hands-free illumination and secure placement matter.

• Hook-and-gate top for secure hanging or fastening
• Lightweight and compact—fits in packs and pockets
• Can be strung together to form a light line or runway
• Durable plastic resists crushing and moisture exposure

How do these glow sticks compare to other emergency lighting options?

Cyalume ChemLights trade the reusability of batteries for long shelf life, instant activation, and rugged reliability without moving parts. They are ideal as a low-maintenance backup or a primary temporary light source in situations where battery failure, wet environments, or ignition risk make electrical lights less suitable.

• Long shelf life—store until needed with no battery drain
• No electrical components—works where batteries fail or freeze
• Meets Defense Logistics Agency and NATO specifications
• Trusted by military and emergency services for durability

Who is this for? Outdoor enthusiasts, first responders, vehicle emergency kits, preppers, hunting and dive teams, and families who want a dependable, no-fuss light source will benefit from Cyalume’s tactical-grade yellow ChemLights. If you need a compact, waterproof, non-flammable light that activates instantly and performs in harsh conditions, these 6" military-grade glow sticks in a convenient 10-pack provide an inexpensive, shelf-stable solution to keep with your gear.
