What makes this mat suitable for young children?

The mat’s dimensions and cushioning are tailored to smaller bodies: long enough for typical children aged 5–8 and thick enough to protect knees and elbows during practice. The bright metallic mermaid print keeps kids engaged while the textured surface reduces slips.

• 60" long and 24" wide, sized for elementary-aged kids
• 3mm thickness for lightweight cushioning and floor awareness
• playful metallic mermaid design to encourage consistent use
• textured, slightly sticky surface for safer poses and transitions

How safe and durable is the material?

This mat is made from PVC that is 6P Free, meaning it excludes six common phthalates. The non-toxic composition minimizes exposure risks while the lightly tacky texture offers wear-resistant grip for repeated use in home or class settings.

• 6P Free PVC — no DEHP, DBP, BBP, DINP, DIDP, or DNOP
• surface resists slipping for improved safety
• easy to wipe clean after activities
• lightweight and foldable for transport and storage

How will this mat fit into my child’s routine?

The mat is versatile for structured yoga lessons, free play, stretching before sports, or calming moments at home. The included downloadable kids yoga class offers a ready-to-use guide to start short sessions and build a simple, positive routine.

• ideal for short, age-appropriate yoga flows and games
• works well for balance drills, stretches, and quiet-time activities
• compact enough to keep in bedrooms, playrooms, or backpacks
• downloadable class gives caregivers instant activity ideas

How should I care for and store the mat?

Maintaining the mat is straightforward: wipe with a gentle cleaner and air dry. When not in use, roll or fold the mat loosely and store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight to preserve color and texture.

• wipe with mild soap and water; avoid harsh chemicals
• air dry fully before storing to prevent mildew
• avoid prolonged sun exposure to protect the metallic finish
• roll or fold gently for compact storage and transport
