Gideon Optics Omega Reflex Sight OM50RD — 3 MOA Red Dot, Large Window, Black 7075-T6

Gideon Optics Omega Reflex OM50RD is a compact, high-visibility reflex sight featuring a 3 MOA red dot and an extra-large viewing window for rapid target acquisition.

The Omega OM50RD pairs a generous 22.3mm x 27mm lens with a crisp 3 MOA red dot reticle in a rugged black 7075-T6 aluminum chassis. Designed for shooters who need fast sighting, durable construction, and long battery life, this reflex sight balances precision and speed without adding unnecessary bulk. Motion-sensing power management and waterproofing make it suitable for demanding outdoor use, while top-load battery access keeps sighting simple in the field.

How does the OM50RD improve target acquisition?

The sight’s oversized window gives an unobstructed field of view so you can pick up the dot and target quickly. The 3 MOA dot provides a precise aiming point that’s still easy to find in close- to mid-range engagements.

• 22.3mm x 27mm lens for a wide sight picture
• 3 MOA red dot for tight aiming and fast acquisition
• Optional 45 MOA circle plus dot or dot-only modes for versatile targeting

What features keep the OM50RD reliable in harsh conditions?

Built from 7075-T6 aluminum and rated IPX7, the OM50RD resists impact and complete immersion, so performance stays consistent during rough handling and wet weather. Shockproof construction preserves zero under recoil and accidental drops.

• 7075-T6 aluminum housing for strength and light weight
• Shockproof design maintains zero under recoil
• IPX7 waterproofing protects electronics in heavy rain or immersion

How long will the battery last, and is it easy to change?

The sight uses a top-loading CR1632 battery with up to 50,000 hours of runtime under typical settings, minimizing maintenance between uses. The top-load design allows battery swaps without removing the sight from its mount or disturbing your zero.

• Top-loading CR1632 battery for simple field replacement
• Up to 50,000 hours battery life depending on brightness and usage
• Auto-sleep after 225 seconds and deep sleep after 12 hours to conserve power

How adjustable and visible is the reticle in different environments?

The OM50RD provides red or green 45 MOA circle-and-dot options plus a dot-only mode so you can match the reticle to ambient light and target contrast. Brightness settings and a clear lens coating help maintain dot clarity in sun, shade, or artificial lighting.

• Dual reticle modes: circle-plus-dot and dot-only for tactical flexibility
• Selectable red or green circle for improved visibility against varied backgrounds
• Bright, adjustable illumination to suit day or low-light conditions

Who this is for: The Gideon Optics Omega Reflex OM50RD is aimed at competitive shooters, law enforcement, and recreational shooters who want a resilient, fast-acquisition red dot with a large viewing window and long battery life. If you need a lightweight reflex sight that survives rough handling, wet conditions, and extended use while delivering a precise 3 MOA aiming point, the OM50RD is a practical, no-frills option.
