The Giro Crue MIPS Kids Snow Helmet is a hard-shell, MIPS-equipped youth helmet in matte black sized M (55.5–59 cm) built for reliable protection, integrated ventilation, and easy goggle compatibility.

The Giro Crue blends a rugged hard-shell exterior with Multi-Directional Impact Protection System (MIPS) technology to give growing riders a robust, thoughtfully engineered snow helmet. Designed to work smoothly with Giro goggles, this limited matte black Size M model offers features that help manage fogging, regulate airflow, and adapt to changing conditions with removable ear pads and a goggle retainer.

How does the Giro Crue MIPS helmet protect a child on the slopes?

This helmet combines an EPS foam liner with a tough hard-shell outer layer and an internal MIPS slip-plane system to address both linear and rotational forces during impacts. The construction balances durability with the lightweight fit kids need for comfortable all-day wear.

• Hard-shell construction bonded to EPS foam for impact absorption.
• MIPS (Multi-Directional Impact Protection System) to help reduce rotational forces.
• Size M (55.5–59 cm) for a secure fit on older kids or teens.

How does ventilation and fog management work with this helmet?

Vent layout is optimized to keep goggles clear and heat moving away from the head. A Stack Vent at the forehead aligns with goggles to reduce fogging while Super Cool vents on the helmet crown let warm air escape for active mountain days.

• Stack Vent positioned to pair with goggles and reduce lens fogging.
• Super Cool vents on top to exhaust hot air quickly.
• Vent placement designed to maintain comfort during high-energy use.

What practical features make the Crue easy to use and adjust?

The helmet includes removable ear pads and a detachable goggle retainer so caregivers and riders can tailor the fit and storage to changing weather and preferences. Those simple, user-friendly details speed up prep time and make the helmet more versatile across seasons.

• Removable ear pads for quick warmth adjustments and easier cleaning.
• Detachable goggle retainer keeps goggles secure when worn and out of the way when removed.
• Designed for seamless compatibility with Giro goggles for a snug, gap-free interface.

Is this helmet durable enough for frequent use and travel?

The hard-shell build makes the Crue resilient against everyday bumps, bagging, and transport while preserving the internal protective liner. Its construction provides value without sacrificing the long-term toughness families need for multiple seasons.

• Rugged outer shell resists scratches and scuffs from regular use.
• EPS liner retains impact-management properties season after season when cared for properly.
• Compact, travel-friendly profile fits into gear bags and lockers easily.
