Nitecore NU21 Running Headlamp, Black, 360 Lumens, White and Red LEDs, USB-C Rechargeable, IP66

The Nitecore NU21 is an ultralight, USB-C rechargeable running headlamp delivering up to 360 lumens with selectable white and red LEDs for hands-free nighttime activity.

Designed for runners, hikers, and anyone who needs reliable illumination without bulk, the NU21 pairs powerful output with a minimal weight of under 2 ounces. Its compact lamp module sits on a reflective, glow-in-the-dark headband, and the lamp body uses a hollow bracket to reduce perceived weight. Built with IP66 water resistance and a 1-meter impact rating, this headlamp is made to handle sweat, rain, and the occasional knock while giving up to 37 hours of burn time on low output.

How bright is the NU21 and how long does the battery last?

The NU21 reaches a maximum of 360 lumens from its primary white LED and includes multiple output levels for runtime flexibility. With USB-C fast charging, it refills in about 1.5 hours and uses a battery-status indicator so you always know when to recharge.

• Maximum output: 360 lumens for short bursts of high-visibility
• Extended runtime: up to 37 hours on lower settings
• Fast recharge: USB-C full charge in ~1.5 hours
• Battery indicator: visible status lamp to prevent surprises

What lighting modes does it offer for different situations?

The NU21 includes a primary white LED with multiple brightness steps, SOS and beacon emergency modes, plus an auxiliary red LED for preserving night vision. These options give quick access to both high-output visibility and low-profile illumination for map reading or group safety.

• Four white brightness levels for adaptive visibility
• SOS and beacon modes for signaling or marking your location
• Red LED option to reduce glare and keep night vision intact
• Easy mode switching to keep focus on your activity

Is the headband and body comfortable and durable for running?

The headband is lightweight, reflective, and glows in the dark to enhance visibility from multiple angles, while the hollow bracket design minimizes bulk and creates a near weightless feel. The NU21 is built to withstand outdoor conditions, combining comfort with practical durability.

• Reflective headband for added low-light visibility
• Glow-in-the-dark elements for passive recognition at night
• Hollow bracket reduces perceived weight for comfort during long runs
• IP66 water resistance and 1 m impact rating for rugged use

What comes in the box and how easy is it to use?

The NU21 ships complete with everything needed to start using it right away: the lamp unit, a comfortable headband, a USB-C charging cable, and a branded sticker. Controls are intuitive so you can change outputs and modes quickly even while moving.
