PRIMOS Bloodhunter HD Headlamp - Hunting Blood-Tracking Light, Orange, Dual-Mode LED

The PRIMOS Bloodhunter HD Headlamp is a compact, dual-mode blood-tracking light that enhances reds and pinks to help you follow blood trails while offering a low-output white setting for general use.

This lightweight orange headlamp brings PRIMOS's patented filter technology into a hands-free package built for hunters and outdoorsmen who need precise detection in the field. The unit combines ultra-bright LEDs with a proprietary filter to reduce earth tones and make blood coloration stand out. It runs on three AAA batteries (included) and mounts on an adjustable bracket so you can aim the beam for optimal visibility.

How does the Bloodhunter HD reveal blood in varied terrain?

The headlamp's patented filter shifts the visible spectrum, suppressing browns and greens so pinks and reds contrast more clearly against natural backgrounds. This optical emphasis helps you notice subtle stains and droplets that would otherwise blend in.

• Proprietary filter plus ultra-bright LEDs for color separation
• Designed to enhance red and pink hues on grass, dirt, and leafy ground
• Works in low-light and twilight where contrast is critical

What lighting modes are available and when should I use them?

The Bloodhunter HD offers two practical modes: a dedicated Blood Tracking mode for enhanced color contrast and a dim white light for routine tasks. Switch to Blood Tracking when trailing or inspecting skin and hide; use dim white to read maps, navigate, or preserve night vision.

• Blood Tracking mode: optimized spectral output for detection
• Low white light: soft illumination for close-up tasks and navigation
• Quick mode change for fast transitions in the field

How easy is it to mount and aim this headlamp while hunting?

The headlamp includes an adjustable bracket that lets you set the beam angle without removing the unit from your head or hat. The compact housing and lightweight design keep the light stable during movement, and the bracket provides fine aim for precise inspection of ground or animals.

• Adjustable bracket for targeted beam placement
• Lightweight construction reduces head bounce and fatigue
• Hands-free operation compatible with hats and helmets

What’s included and are there any special features I should know?

The headlamp ships ready to use with three AAA batteries installed and benefits from a US patent on the filter technology. Its compact footprint makes it easy to stow in pockets or a pack when you need to switch to another light or tool.

• Includes 3 AAA batteries for immediate use
• US Patent No. 9,410,879 covers the filter system
• Compact profile ideal for pocket, pack, or hat mounting

Who is this for: The PRIMOS Bloodhunter HD Headlamp suits hunters, trackers, and field workers who require a hands-free light that improves detection of blood coloration without sacrificing practical white light functionality. If you need a small, durable headlamp that highlights reds and pinks in natural settings while offering adjustable aiming and included batteries, this model fits those needs without extra bulk.
