Princeton Tec Quad 4-LED Tactical Headlamp, Black — 78 Lumens, IPX7 Waterproof, AAA Powered

The Princeton Tec Quad is a lightweight tactical headlamp with four regulated LEDs delivering up to 78 lumens, multiple brightness modes, and IPX7 water resistance for dependable hands-free lighting.

Compact and built for active use, this headlamp blends a durable polycarbonate body with an adjustable nylon strap so you can wear it comfortably for hiking, working after dark, or emergency kits. The Quad's regulated LED circuit holds initial brightness until battery voltage drops, and three included AAA cells let you start using it right away. With settings for high, medium, low and strobe, you can choose power or extended burn time depending on the task.

How bright is the Quad and how far will it light the way?

The Quad produces a combined output of about 78 lumens from four LEDs and projects a usable beam to roughly 50 meters. Its focused wide beam design favors a broad near-field view while still offering distance visibility when needed.

• 78 lumens total output for everyday tasks.
• Maximum beam distance up to 50 meters for path spotting.
• Wide-beam profile helps preserve peripheral awareness close up.

What power options and runtimes can I expect?

The headlamp runs on three AAA batteries, which are included, and also accepts lithium or rechargeable AAA cells. Battery life varies by mode; low-power settings yield the longest runtimes while high and strobe modes reduce operating time.

• Includes three AAA alkaline batteries so it's ready out of the box.
• Can use alkaline, lithium, or rechargeables for flexibility.
• Extended burn time (up to 108 hours) on the lowest setting.

Will it stand up to wet weather and tough use?

The Quad uses a robust polycarbonate housing and an IPX7-rated seal that withstands immersion to 1 meter for short periods. The simple four-mode switch and regulated electronics make it reliable for outdoor conditions and routine wear.

• Polycarbonate housing resists impact and abrasion.
• IPX7 waterproof rating protects against immersion up to 1 meter.
• Regulated LEDs maintain brightness until battery voltage drops.

How easy is it to wear and control on the move?

The head strap is adjustable nylon for a secure fit during activity, and the lamp’s light weight minimizes bounce. A single rotary or push switch cycles modes quickly so adjustments are fast even with gloves.

• Adjustable nylon head strap for a tailored fit.
• Lightweight construction reduces fatigue over long use.
• Four-mode switch (high/medium/low/strobe) for simple control.

Who this is for: The Princeton Tec Quad is aimed at outdoor enthusiasts, mechanics, emergency-preparedness kits, and anyone needing a small, reliable hands-free light. If you want a low-profile headlamp with regulated LEDs, multiple power options, and waterproof protection for general purpose tasks, this model balances runtime and usable beam spread in a compact package.
