Princeton Tec Byte LED Headlamp Gray/Black — 200 Lumens, IPX4 Splash-Resistant, Lightweight

Compact and purpose-built, the Byte combines a bright white high-output beam with a low beam option so you can switch between broad illumination and controlled light for detail work. Its featherlight 2.3-ounce body, single-button control and rotating lamp head make it a practical choice for technicians, outdoor enthusiasts, and anyone who needs dependable hands-free lighting. The headlamp meets IPX4 splash-resistance and is assembled with rated construction for everyday toughness.

How bright is the beam and what lighting modes are available?

The Byte offers a 200-lumen bright white LED for maximum visibility and a low beam setting for tasks that require less glare and more control. A simple single-button interface toggles between modes so you can adapt quickly without fumbling.

• 200-lumen high output for short- to mid-range visibility
• Low-beam mode for close-up or task-oriented work
• Easy single-button switching for on-the-fly adjustments

Will the Byte survive wet weather and rough use?

The headlamp is rated IPX4 for splash resistance and is constructed to withstand demanding use, giving it a durable feel that stands up to active environments. While not submersible, its design resists rain and splashes so it continues working in common outdoor and jobsite conditions.

• IPX4 splash-resistant rating for rain and spray protection
• Rugged housing with military-grade inspired durability
• Securely mounted lamp head that resists impact and movement

How comfortable and practical is it to wear for long periods?

The Byte is engineered for balance and comfort: at only 2.3 ounces it reduces neck fatigue while the adjustable 3/4" strap keeps the light stable during activity. A rotating head lets you set the beam angle and maintain steady illumination even when moving or working overhead.

• Lightweight 2.3-ounce construction minimizes bulk
• Adjustable 3/4" strap for a snug, personalized fit
• Rotating lamp head for precise aiming without repositioning the strap

How easy is it to operate when your hands are busy?

Controls are intentionally simple: one button cycles modes so you can operate the Byte without taking your eyes off the task. The interface is designed for quick tactile use while wearing gloves or working in low light.

• Single-button control for straightforward mode changes
• Quick-response switching suitable for gloved hands
• Minimal learning curve—ready to use immediately out of the box
