Schutt Youth F7 LX1 Football Helmet, White, Size Large — TPU Cushioning, Carbon Steel Facemask

Schutt Youth F7 LX1 is a medium white youth football helmet that delivers Virginia Tech 5-Star-rated protection features, TPU cushioning, and a carbon steel facemask in a smaller, game-ready shell.

Designed to bring the advanced engineering of Schutt’s adult F7 to younger players, the Youth F7 LX1 pairs a compact but strong shell with multi-directional cushioning and a popular carbon steel facemask. It earned a 5-Star ranking in the Virginia Tech Youth Helmet Ratings and integrates movement plates, TPU impact absorption, and a flexurally reinforced shell to balance protection, fit, and durability for youth athletes.

How does the F7 LX1 manage impact and rotational forces?

The helmet combines TPU cushioning with 3-dimensional Movement Tektonic Plates that shift independently to help reduce rotational forces and spread energy from impacts. TPU maintains consistent performance across a range of temperatures compared with traditional foams, and the Tektonic Plates add an extra layer of displacement where impacts most often occur.

• TPU cushioning absorbs and disperses linear impact energy effectively.
• 3-Dimensional Movement Tektonic Plates move independently to address rotational loads.
• Placement of plates targets the most impacted areas for better force management.

What are the helmet’s structural and shell advantages?

The shell features a Flexural Resistance design in the back shelf and temporal wings to increase structural strength without adding unnecessary bulk. This engineering improves long-term durability and helps the helmet maintain its protective profile through repeated use and contact.

• Flexural Resistance Shell Design reinforces high-stress zones for durability.
• Lightweight shell shape keeps the center of mass low for better balance.
• Engineered contours preserve the F7 styling while fitting youth head shapes.

What facemask and fit features come with the helmet?

The Youth F7 LX1 ships with an EGOP NB VC carbon steel facemask — a widely used material known for strength and reliable performance. The medium size offers a youth-specific internal geometry and padding layout to secure a snug fit while accommodating common youth head shapes.

• Carbon steel facemask provides durable frontal protection with proven toughness.
• Internal padding and TPU cushions create a secure, comfort-oriented fit.
• Youth medium sizing matches team and league requirements for younger players.

Which measurable safety recognition does this helmet have?

The Schutt Youth F7 LX1 earned a 5-Star rating in the Virginia Tech Youth Helmet Ratings, reflecting independent test results for impact mitigation at youth-specific energy levels. That rating summarizes how the helmet performed across a battery of lab tests designed for younger athletes.

• Virginia Tech Youth Helmet Ratings — 5-Star overall class ranking.
• Independent lab testing tailored to youth impact conditions.
• Combines rating with modern materials like TPU and movement plates for tested performance.

Who is this for: The Schutt Youth F7 LX1 Medium in white is for youth football players and teams seeking a modern, highly rated helmet that scales down adult F7 technology. It suits coaches and parents who want a youth-sized shell with advanced impact-management features, a strong carbon steel facemask, and a reinforced shell profile for durability during practices and games.
