Schutt Youth F7 LX1 Football Helmet, White, Size Small, EGOP NB VC Carbon Steel Facemask and TPU Cushioning

Built to scale down the performance of Schutt’s adult F7 for younger players, the F7 LX1 combines modern shell geometry, TPU cushioning and independent Tektonic Plates to manage energy from a variety of impacts. The helmet arrives with an EGOP NB VC carbon steel facemask attached and a flexural resistance shell to increase strength in critical areas, all in a clean white finish sized for small youth heads.

How does the F7 LX1 protect against impacts on the field?

The F7 LX1 uses a layered approach to absorb and redirect force. TPU cushioning provides broad-temperature impact absorption, while 3-dimensional Tektonic Plates move independently to reduce rotational forces. Together they manage linear and rotational energies better than a simple foam liner alone.

• TPU cushioning across the shell for consistent absorption across temperatures
• Independent Tektonic Plates add extra TPU in high-impact zones
• Shell geometry disperses force and improves structural durability

What features improve fit and durability for youth players?

The small F7 LX1 keeps fit simple and secure with a youth-scaled interior and a sturdy shell design. The flexural resistance elements in the back shelf and temporal wings reinforce the helmet where it matters most, resisting deformation during impacts and extending service life.

• Youth-sized interior contouring for proper snug fit
• Flexural Resistance Shell Design in structural zones for durability
• Carbon steel facemask attached for reliable facial protection

Why is the Virginia Tech 5-star rating important for this helmet?

A 5-star Virginia Tech youth rating indicates the F7 LX1 met rigorous lab testing benchmarks for energy management in the youth category. While no helmet can prevent all injuries, this rating shows the helmet performs at the top of its class under those testing protocols.

• Tested specifically in Virginia Tech’s youth helmet program
• Performance reflects energy attenuation in a variety of impact scenarios
• Useful comparison point when evaluating youth helmet options

What does the EGOP NB VC facemask offer?

The included EGOP NB VC facemask is made from carbon steel, a common, durable choice in football facemasks. It balances strength and weight while providing reliable facial protection suitable for youth play levels.

• Carbon steel construction used widely across football levels
• Pre-attached for out-of-box readiness
• Designed to meet youth equipment spacing and safety guidelines
