The SMITH Method Helmet in Matte Slate (Large) is a Mips-equipped snow helmet built for comfort, venting, and compatibility with Smith goggles and audio systems.

Designed for park laps, storm days, and fast groomer runs, this helmet combines modern impact protection with user-focused fit and ventilation. It meets ASTM F2040 and CE EN 1077:2007 Class B standards and integrates the Mips Safety Protection System for rotational-impact mitigation. The Method balances low-profile styling with performance features like AirEvac venting and removable ear pads so you can tailor warmth and audio options to the conditions.

How does the Method helmet protect my head on the mountain?

The Method uses a multi-layer approach to reduce impact forces and rotational motion during a crash. Mips provides a low-friction layer that helps redirect rotational energy, while the helmet shell and certified liner absorb and dissipate impact.

• Mips Safety Protection System for rotational-force mitigation
• ASTM F2040 and CE EN 1077:2007 Class B certified for snow sports
• Durable outer shell engineered to manage impacts

Will I stay fog-free and comfortable while wearing goggles?

Yes — the Method is engineered to work with Smith eyewear using the AirEvac ventilation channeling to draw warm air away from your goggles. Eight fixed vents ensure consistent airflow, helping prevent lens fog while maintaining a stable internal climate.

• AirEvac system integrates with Smith goggles for directed airflow
• Eight fixed vents for continuous ventilation and heat release
• Designed to reduce fogging without sacrificing coverage

How adjustable and versatile is the fit for all-day wear?

The Method features a self-adjusting lifestyle fit system that flexes to your head shape for a secure feel without pressure points. Removable Snapfit SL2 ear pads add warmth, are compatible with audio chips, and the helmet also accommodates beanies for extra insulation.

• Self-adjusting fit system molds to head shape
• Snapfit SL2 ear pads: removable, warm, audio-compatible
• Beanie-compatible design for added warmth or style

What makes the Method a good everyday snow helmet choice?

It’s a practical, performance-focused helmet suitable for a wide range of riding styles, from park tricks to all-mountain runs. The combination of safety certifications, ventilation that pairs with goggles, and modular comfort features make it a dependable choice for regular riders.
