NVAAV Soft Shell Flag Football Helmet, Black, Size Medium (6-12 Years / 20.5-22.5 in) — Lightweight EVA Shell with Adjustable Chin Strap

NVAAV's Soft Shell Flag Football Helmet (Medium) is a lightweight, ventilated protective headpiece with an adjustable chin strap and included mouthguard designed for flag football and multiple non-varsity sports.

This helmet pairs a soft, impact-absorbing EVA shell with breathable polyester cover materials to deliver a comfortable, low-profile alternative to rigid helmets. Built for practices, recreational leagues, and multi-sport use, it balances shock dispersion, airflow, and an adjustable fit so players from youth to adults can move confidently on the field.

How does this helmet fit different head sizes?

The NVAAV soft shell helmet uses an elastic rear strap and a thick, adjustable chin strap to expand fit across a range of head circumferences. Sizing is simple: measure the widest part of the forehead about 3/4 inch above the ears, then choose the corresponding size range listed.

• Medium fits 20.5–22.5 inches (52–57 cm).
• Elastic back strap increases stretch for a snug but flexible fit.
• Adjustable chin strap secures the helmet during play without excessive pressure.

What protection features does this soft shell offer?

Constructed from high-density, high-elasticity EVA, the shell is engineered to absorb and disperse impact energy across a broader area than hard-shell designs. The included sports mouthguard adds another layer of oral protection for contact situations common in flag football and similar sports.

• EVA core for shock absorption and pressure distribution.
• Thick chin strap to keep the helmet stable during movement.
• Supplied mouthguard for extra dental protection when needed.

Will the helmet keep players cool and able to hear teammates?

Yes—ventilation and material choices are focused on breathability and sweat management to reduce overheating during play. The helmet includes multiple top vents and a three-dimensional perforated ear area designed to protect while maintaining audibility and on-field communication.

• Multiple top vents for effective heat dissipation.
• Moisture-wicking polyester to manage sweat.
• Perforated ear design preserves hearing and calls.

Which sports and situations is this helmet suitable for?

This soft shell is intended for flag football and other recreational or practice contexts where a softer, lighter helmet is preferred. It’s suitable for 7v7 flag football, touch or non-tackle leagues, and other activities where reduced bulk and better mobility are priorities.

• Flag football (7v7 and recreational leagues).
• Rugby, soccer practice, lacrosse drills, taekwondo training, and special-protection needs.
• Not a substitute for certified rigid helmets required by certain organized tackle leagues.

Who is this for? The NVAAV Soft Shell Flag Football Helmet (Medium) is aimed at recreational players, youth and adult league participants, coaches, and parents who want a lightweight, breathable protective option for non-varsity play. Choose this helmet if you need a comfortable, adjustable fit with impact-absorbing EVA, straightforward sizing guidance, and an included mouthguard—especially when mobility, ventilation, and on-field communication matter more than the heavy protection of rigid helmets.
