surlim Soft Shell Flag Football Helmet for Youth, White, Large — Lightweight EVA Foam, Ventilated

The Surlim Soft Shell Flag Football Helmet is a lightweight, padded headgear made for youth 7v7, flag football and rugby training where low-impact protection and breathability matter.

Built for practice and non-contact play, this soft-shell helmet combines a thin EVA foam shell with enlarged ventilation to keep young players cooler during drills and summer games. It’s an alternative to a bulky hard-shell helmet when teams want reduced weight, close fit and some cushioning for routine bumps. The design emphasizes flexibility, airflow and a secure fit through rear lacing and an adjustable chin strap.

How does this headgear help during practices and non-contact scrimmages?

The Surlim helmet cushions light knocks and removes bulk compared with traditional hard helmets, making motion and peripheral vision easier. Its multi-zone vents and 10mm openings promote airflow so players stay more comfortable over long sessions.

• 10mm vent holes and airflow channels reduce heat buildup.
• EVA foam padding absorbs routine bumps without restricting movement.
• Soft, stretch fabric conforms for a close, low-profile fit.

Will this replace a hard football helmet for tackle play?

No — this item is designed for non-contact sports and training scenarios, not for full-contact tackle football. It provides low-impact cushioning and should not be used as a certified protective helmet where hard impacts are expected.

• Intended for flag football, 7v7 practice, rugby training and scrum cap use.
• Not certified as protective equipment for tackle football.
• Choose appropriate certified helmets for contact play and league requirements.

How do I get the right fit for a youth or adult player?

Measure head circumference and follow the size chart rather than estimating by age. The shell’s rear laces and adjustable chin strap let you fine-tune fit; if a measurement sits at the upper edge of a size, select the larger size for comfort.

• Measure around the widest part of the head for accurate sizing.
• Medium fits 18–20.5 inches; Large fits 20.5–23 inches.
• Use rear laces and chin strap adjustments to lock position during movement.

How should I care for and maintain the soft shell helmet?

Simple hand-washing keeps the materials in good condition without damaging the foam or fabric. Avoid machine washing, aggressive chemicals and tumble drying to preserve fit and ventilation performance.

• Hand wash in warm water with mild soap; rinse thoroughly.
• Air dry in a cool, ventilated spot; do not tumble dry.
• Inspect padding and straps regularly for wear and replace if compromised.

Who is this for: The Surlim Soft Shell Flag Football Helmet suits youth players and adults participating in flag football, 7v7 practices, rugby drills and non-contact scrimmages who want a lighter, more breathable headgear option. It’s for coaches and teams prioritizing mobility and reduced bulk during training, and for parents seeking a cushioned, adjustable headpiece for low-impact play. Remember to measure head circumference before ordering and do not use this item as a substitute for certified protective helmets in contact sports.
