surlim Soft Shell Flag Football Helmet, Black, Size Large — Lightweight EVA Foam, Ventilated Low-Profile Scrum Cap

Surlim Soft Shell Flag Football Helmet is a lightweight, adult-size (L) padded scrum cap designed to protect the head during flag football, rugby practice, and 7v7 while staying breathable and low-profile.

Built from flexible EVA foam panels with multiple ventilation ports, this soft shell headgear cushions impact points and reduces bulk so athletes can move freely. It uses an adjustable chin strap and rear lacing to deliver a close, stable fit for fast direction changes. Note: this product is intended for non-tackle sports and is not a substitute for a certified hard-shell tackle helmet required by some leagues.

How does this helmet protect while staying lightweight?

The Surlim helmet uses multi-panel EVA foam padding positioned around the forehead, temples, crown and back of the head to absorb and disperse contact forces without adding heft. Its low-profile shape keeps the overall volume smaller than traditional padded headgear so it won’t impede vision or shoulder movement.

• Flexible EVA foam panels that conform to head shape
• Multi-zone coverage for key contact areas
• Low-profile design that avoids bulk around the ears and jaw

Will the size L fit my head and how should I measure?

This model is available only in size L, sized for heads 21–23 inches in circumference. Measure around the widest part of your forehead, about half an inch above your ears, to confirm fit before purchase. Ordering the correct size helps the helmet sit securely without sliding during play.

• Size L fits 21–23 in (measure 1/2 inch above ears)
• Rear lacing and chin strap for fine adjustment
• Returns recommended if measurement is outside the stated range

How does ventilation and comfort perform during intense drills?

Strategic ventilation holes across the crown and sides allow airflow to pass through, helping cool the head and wick away moisture during sprints and repeated efforts. The soft shell’s flexible construction keeps pressure points minimal, improving comfort for extended training sessions.

• Multiple ventilation ports for heat dissipation
• Breathable foam that reduces sweat buildup
• Soft interior contact surface for chafe reduction

How secure is the fit for dynamic movement and contact?

A combination of adjustable rear laces and a chin strap lets you tighten the helmet so it tracks with your head during cuts, dives and catches. The helmet’s close-fitting silhouette minimizes shifting, so you won’t be constantly readjusting between plays.

• Rear lace for personalized tension and profile shaping
• Adjustable chin strap with snap or buckle closure
• Close fit reduces helmet rotation during quick movements

Who is this for? The Surlim Soft Shell Flag Football Helmet is made for adult athletes—flag football players, rugby practice participants, and 7v7 competitors—who want added padding and head coverage without the weight and bulk of a hard helmet. Choose this L-size model only if your measured head circumference falls between 21 and 23 inches and you understand it is intended for non-tackle use and league-appropriate drills. It’s a practical option for teams, coaches and recreational players seeking breathable, adjustable head protection for contact-limited sports.
