yikundiscs Floating PDGA Distance Driver, Orange, 150-160g Lightweight Glide

The yikundiscs PDGA Approved Floating Distance Driver is a lightweight, tournament-legal disc designed to float on water and deliver long, reliable distance with a straight, controllable flight.

Designed for courses with water hazards and for players who want a dependable distance driver that won’t vanish after a pond skip, this disc blends official tournament approval with buoyant construction. It meets PDGA specifications and weighs between 150–160 g, offering a lighter throwing feel while preserving stable performance. The flight profile emphasizes glide and a predictable fade, helping players land long drives with confidence near water or wet terrain.

How does this disc perform on long throws and open fairways?

The yikundiscs distance driver delivers a steady, long-reaching flight thanks to its balance of speed and high glide. With flight numbers 7/5/0/2, it maintains a straight trajectory with minimal turn and finishes with a moderate fade, making it suitable for controlled maximum-distance shots.

• Speed 7 for good top-end velocity without excessive instability
• Glide 5 to stay aloft longer and cover more ground
• Turn 0 for predictable straight-line flight on solid releases
• Fade 2 for a gentle, reliable finish into the landing zone

Will this disc survive water hazards and wet conditions?

Yes — the disc is engineered from buoyant, lightweight plastic that floats steadily on water surfaces, reducing the risk of permanent loss in ponds and lakes. The material also features a grippy texture that maintains traction when your hands or the disc are wet, helping you control releases in damp conditions.

• Exclusive buoyant plastic formulation prevents sinking
• Stable floating behavior makes retrieval easier after water landings
• Textured, grippy surface ensures secure handling when wet

Is this disc legal for tournament play and what are the specs?

This driver is officially PDGA approved, so it is eligible for sanctioned tournaments, matches and daily practice under standard competition rules. It conforms to weight norms, coming in at 150–160 g, and uses a construction and profile designed to meet official performance expectations.

• PDGA tournament-approved material and profile
• Standard competition weight range: 150–160 g
• Designed for practice, casual play, and professional events

How does the feel and grip influence throwing technique?

The disc’s tactile surface supports comfortable hand placement and consistent releases, even when damp. Its lighter weight allows players to generate speed with less exertion while maintaining a balanced output, which is helpful for players refining technique or adapting to wet courses.

• Ergonomic rim and surface for repeatable finger placement
• Lightweight feel reduces arm strain on long sessions
• Consistent release aids accuracy for follow-up shots and practice
