Axiom Discs Insanity Eclipse Glow 2.0 Distance Driver 170-175g, Glow Stable-Understable for disc golf

The Axiom Discs Eclipse Glow 2.0 Insanity is a stable-understable distance driver engineered for straight flights and reliable glow-in-the-dark visibility.

The Insanity blends predictable control for moderate-power players with the ability for advanced throwers to shape turnover and flip lines. Molded in Axiom's Eclipse Glow 2.0 plastic, this 170–175g driver balances consistent flight characteristics with night and low-light tracking. It’s PDGA-approved, built to resist wear, and tuned to deliver a controlled long-range performance whether you want a true-to-line drive or a deliberate understable finish.

How will the Insanity perform on long, open fairways?

On open straights the Insanity flies with controlled distance and dependable glide, thanks to its Speed 9 and Glide 5 profile. Expect more high-speed turn than a fully stable driver, which helps keep the disc on line before a mild fade at the end.

• Speed 9 lets you reach solid yardage without extreme release speed.
• Glide 5 provides extended carry for sustained forward momentum.
• Turn -2 aids in carving controlled hyzer-flip and turnover lines.
• Fade 1.5 produces a gentle finish when the disc slows.

Can higher-power players shape advanced turnovers and flips?

Yes — stronger arms can exploit the Insanity’s understable tendencies to create precise flip-to-straight and turnover shapes. The disc’s reduced late fade makes it easier to control line during powerful throws, ideal for scoring lines that require a measured flip.

• Understable design encourages intentional early turn for shaping shots.
• Subtle fade keeps the landing predictable after the turnover.
• Consistent Eclipse Glow plastic prevents unpredictable flight changes as the disc wears.

How does the Eclipse Glow 2.0 plastic affect visibility and durability?

Eclipse Glow 2.0 is Axiom’s premium glow blend built to charge quickly and stay visible in low-light conditions. It’s formulated for long-lasting edge retention and predictable wear patterns, so flight characteristics remain stable across extensive use.

• High-visibility glow for evening or overcast rounds.
• Durable composition resists dings and maintains rim integrity.
• Consistent feel and grip across temperatures and play conditions.

What kinds of lines does the Insanity replace or complement in my bag?

The Insanity fits between a neutral straight driver and a more understable distance driver, acting as a go-to for controlled long shots and turnover-specific strategies. Players who carry neutral drivers for maximum accuracy and understable drivers for rollers will find the Insanity bridges those roles with reliable behavior.

• Substitute for a worn-in Inertia-style disc with more turn.
• Complement stable drivers when you need a softer fade and more turn.
• Useful for long turnover shots and flexible fairway-to-distance transitions.

Who is this for: The Axiom Eclipse Glow 2.0 Insanity suits intermediate players seeking a straight-to-understable distance driver and advanced throwers who want predictable flip and turnover options. It’s also a strong pick for night or late-afternoon rounds because of the Eclipse Glow 2.0 visibility and long-lasting durability. Choose a 170–175g weight if you want a blend of control and carry without needing extreme arm speed. PDGA approval makes it tournament-legal for competitive play.
