Generic 553 Holographic Red/Green Dot Sight 20mm Picatinny Mount Black — 1x, Waterproof Shockproof

Compact and rugged 1x holographic/red-green dot sight that mounts to any 20 mm Picatinny rail for fast target acquisition.

This Generic 553 sight combines a shortened footprint with a clear multi-coated lens and waterproof, shockproof construction for reliable field performance. It runs on a single CR123A battery, offers ten brightness levels, and lets you toggle between red and green aiming dots. The sealed internal optics resist fog and the low-reflective hard-coat finish reduces glare while protecting the housing from wear.

How does the 553 sight stay compact without sacrificing functionality?

The unit uses a single transverse CR123A cell positioned to shorten the overall length, so the mount requires just under 2 3/4 inches of rail space. The streamlined base and low-profile turrets preserve rail real estate for other accessories. Despite the smaller footprint, full windage and elevation adjustment is retained for zeroing.

• Single CR123A battery reduces sight length
• Shortened base needs approximately 2.75 inches of rail
• Standard Picatinny mount fits most 20 mm tactical rails

What optical features support quick aiming and clarity?

This sight offers 1x magnification and a high-transmittance, multi-coated glass lens to present an undistorted, bright sight picture. Internal optics are sealed against moisture and fog so the reticle stays visible in changing conditions. Ten brightness steps let you dial the reticle intensity for daylight, low light, or illuminated optics overlays.

• 1x no-magnification design for both eyes open shooting
• Clear multi-coated lens for high light transmission
• Fog-proof sealed internal optics for stable image
• Ten brightness levels and red/green reticle selection

How durable and weather-resistant is this sight?

The 553 is built with a metal frame and hard-coat non-reflective black finish to resist impacts and surface wear. The sealed optical chamber and shockproof components protect internal elements from moisture and vibration. Rugged construction makes it suitable for demanding outdoor environments where reliability matters.

• Metal housing with hard-coat finish reduces reflections and wear
• Shockproof design for recoil and rough handling
• Waterproof sealing to guard electronics and optics

How do I adjust brightness, zero the sight, and conserve battery?

Two tactile buttons control brightness: press the upper button to increase intensity and the lower to decrease it; pressing both simultaneously powers the unit off. Windage and elevation turrets click in 0.5 MOA increments for precise zeroing, and the sight can automatically shut down after inactivity to extend battery life.

• Brightness +/− buttons with simple on/off combo
• 0.5 MOA adjustment per click for elevation and windage
• Auto-shutoff after long idle periods to save battery

Who is this for: The Generic 553 holographic dot sight is aimed at shooters and hunters who want a compact, rugged reflex optic for short- to mid-range engagement. It suits firearms with 20 mm Picatinny rails, users who prefer quick two-eye target acquisition, and anyone needing a weather-resistant sight with both red and green reticle options. It’s also a solid choice when rail space is limited but reliable aiming performance is required.

Package contents include the sight, one CR123A battery, a cleaning cloth, and an English manual. The sight’s combination of compact mounting, clear optics, and durable construction makes it a versatile reflex solution for tactical, range, and outdoor applications.
