Giro Ratio Snow Helmet, Matte Titanium (2020), Size Medium — In Form fit, Thermostat vents

The Giro Ratio Snow Helmet in Matte Titanium is a durable, feature-rich hard-shell helmet sized M (55.5–59cm) that combines an easy one-handed fit system with instant adjustable venting and audio compatibility for all-day comfort on the slopes.

This mid-range helmet delivers many premium conveniences without the premium price. Under a clean, low-profile shell you get a robust hard-shell construction bonded to EPS foam for impact protection, a quick-adjust In Form fit dial that fine-tunes stability, and Thermostat Control vents that change airflow on the fly. It’s also designed to pair seamlessly with Giro goggles and accept aftermarket audio kits by Outdoor Tech so you can ride comfortably and stay connected.

How does the fit system keep the helmet secure during activity?

The helmet uses Giro’s In Form Fit System to let you dial in a personalized, stable fit in seconds—even while wearing gloves. A low-profile adjustment dial at the rear provides several centimeters of travel for a snug hold and the design includes vertical tuning to better match different goggle profiles and head shapes.

• rear ergo dial for up to ~6 cm of circumference adjustment
• vertical tuning to eliminate gaper gap with goggles
• fast, glove-friendly operation for on-mountain changes

What ventilation features help prevent fogging and overheating?

Thermostat Control vents give you instant airflow control: slide the external lever and open or close vent channels to adapt to temperature and exertion. A front stack vent aligns with goggle frames to direct airflow where it matters most, helping reduce lens fogging while improving overall breathability.

• external Thermostat Control for one-handed vent adjustments
• stack vent positioned to clear goggle lenses
• vent pathways routed through the EPS liner for efficient airflow

Will this helmet work with my goggles and audio accessories?

Giro engineered the Ratio to work smoothly with their goggle range; shell shape and strap channels are tested for a tight, gap-free pairing with recommended models. The helmet also accepts aftermarket audio systems (Outdoor Tech) so you can add speakers without modifying the shell.

• designed for seamless compatibility with Giro Roam and Moxie goggles
• audio-ready ear pockets and mounts for Outdoor Tech systems
• no cutting or drilling required to install audio kits

How does the construction balance protection and value?

The Ratio uses a hard-shell approach where a durable outer shell is molded and securely attached to an EPS foam liner, creating a tough exterior and energy-absorbing interior. This method keeps manufacturing costs lower while delivering a dependable helmet structure favored for everyday resort use.

• hard-shell exterior for abrasion resistance and longevity
• EPS foam liner for impact energy management
• built to deliver reliable performance at an accessible price point
