Kastaplast K1 Soft Berg Putter Disc 173–176g – Ergonomic Thumb Track, Stable Wind-Resistant

The Kastaplast K1 Soft Berg is a slow, stable putter (173–176g) built for reliable short drives, confident approaches, and dependable putts—even in wind.

The Berg combines a pronounced ergonomic thumb track and K1 Soft plastic to create a comfortable, controllable feel on every throw. Its flight profile balances high-speed stability with a moderate finish so the disc won’t sail far past the target, making line-shaping and fearless putting easier. Manufactured in Sweden and weighing 173–176 grams, each Berg may arrive in varied colors while delivering the same predictable flight characteristics.

How does the Berg handle on short drives and approaches?

The Berg is designed to deliver straight-to-stable flight for short drives and approaches, providing dependable distance without an aggressive fade. It retains enough glide to reach the target but resists rolling past even in gusty conditions.

• Flight numbers: Speed 1, Glide 1, Turn 0, Fade 2 for predictable finishes
• Good high-speed stability lets it hold lines off the tee
• K1 Soft plastic cushions touch for comfortable release

What makes the Berg feel different in the hand compared to other putters?

Berg’s standout feature is an ergonomic thumb track that’s prominent on the top but subtle underneath, producing a secure, unique grip. The K1 Soft rim offers a softer feel that reduces hand sting on firm putts and improves comfort for repetitive use.

• Prominent top-side thumb track for consistent finger placement
• Subtle bottom profile keeps releases clean and repeatable
• Soft K1 plastic enhances comfort on putts and approaches

Can I use the Berg for windy-day putting?

Yes—the Berg’s stability and fade-first finish help it resist being carried past the basket when wind is present. It’s tuned to hold its line rather than float, which reduces the chance of overshooting on strong approaches or long putts.

• Moderate fade prevents excessive drift in crosswinds
• Stable flight reduces unpredictable turn in gusts
• Weight range 173–176g offers added control in breezy conditions

How does the Berg support shot shaping for creative lines?

Though a putter, the Berg’s stable profile and high-speed stability let experienced throwers shape gentle hyzers and turnovers without a violent fade. That flexibility makes it useful from tee to green when you need a controlled, precise pathway.

• Stable flight enables reliable hyzer and slight anhyzer lines
• Predictable finish helps land near the target consistently
• Ergonomic grip aids comfortable, repeatable releases for shaping shots

Who is this for? The Kastaplast K1 Soft Berg is ideal for players who want a soft-feel putter that doubles as a controlled short-range driver: casual players seeking comfortable putts, intermediates refining approach precision, and advanced players who value a stable disc for delicate line-shaping. If you prefer a putter that stays composed in wind, provides a secure thumb track, and comes in a comfortable K1 Soft plastic, the Berg is built for those steady, confident throws.
