Paddletek Tempest Wave V3 Pickleball Paddle, PLATINUM, Standard Grip — ICED Carbon Fiber, 12.7mm PolyCore

The Paddletek Tempest Wave V3 is a professional-grade pickleball paddle built with an ICED carbon fiber face, Tempest PolyCore honeycomb, and high-tack grip for sustained spin, control, and balanced power.

Designed for competitive players who want a reliable blend of touch and force, the Tempest Wave V3 updates Paddletek's Tempest line with an ICED carbon fiber surface and Perma-Spin improvements. This model pairs a 12.7 mm Tempest PolyCore honeycomb with vibration-management features and an ultra-cushion grip to deliver predictable response across volleys, dinks, and third-shot attacks. The paddle meets USAPA sizing and weight standards, making it tournament-ready out of the box.

How does the Tempest Wave V3 help generate more spin without sacrificing control?

The ICED carbon fiber surface with Perma-Spin treatment provides a textured, durable contact that enhances ball bite while remaining consistent across hits. Because the face is engineered for longer-lasting friction, players can impart spin confidently on serves and groundstrokes. The moderate weight and balanced profile let you maintain placement accuracy when adding topspin or sidespin.

• ICED carbon fiber face for improved ball grip and longer-lasting spin
• Perma-Spin technology tuned for sustained surface friction
• Balanced paddle weight (7.4–7.8 oz) preserves control during spin shots

What kind of feel and feedback does the Tempest PolyCore provide?

The 12.7 mm Tempest PolyCore honeycomb core blends a carbon-fiber polymer construction with internal vibration dampening for a responsive, forgiving feel. You’ll notice crisp feedback on well-struck balls and reduced sting on off-center hits thanks to the core’s torsion and vibration control features. That creates a comfortable connection point useful for extended matches.

• Tempest PolyCore honeycomb for consistent, quiet response
• Vibration-dampening and torsion control for reduced shock
• Core thickness tuned (12.7 mm) for a balance of touch and pop

Which grip and ergonomics come with the paddle, and how do they affect play?

Paddletek fits the Wave V3 with an Ultra-Cushion High-Tack Performance Grip on standard handles and a High-Tack Performance Grip on thin variants, improving comfort and racket security. The 4 1/4" circumference and 5 1/4" length support a comfortable hold for most hand sizes while enabling quick wrist action for volleys and wristy spin. An integrated 1/8" shock edge guard also protects the face and softens impact when the ball or court contacts the rim.

• Ultra-Cushion or High-Tack grips for secure hold and vibration absorption
• Grip circumference 4 1/4" and length 5 1/4" for standard ergonomics
• 1/8" edge shock guard for durability and reduced rim shock

Is the Tempest Wave V3 suitable for tournament play and versatile court roles?

Yes—this paddle conforms to USAPA specifications for length, width, hitting surface, and weight, making it authorized for sanctioned events. Its numerical ratings reflect a player-oriented design: strong control and forgiveness with a touch of power for finishing shots. The Wave V3 is versatile enough for net play, baseline rallies, and transition shots in both singles and doubles.

• USAPA-approved dimensions and weight for tournament eligibility
• Power rating ~7.5, control ~8.5, forgiveness ~8.5 for all-court play
• 15 7/8" total length and 8" width for a balanced sweet spot
