Rakon 18" Basketball Rim Replacement, 18" Orange Spring, Heavy-Duty Steel Wall-Mount

Rakon 18" Heavy Duty Wall Mounted Basketball Rim is a robust, all-weather replacement hoop designed to convert a backboard, garage wall, or outdoor court into a durable practice goal.

If you need a compact, dependable rim to replace a worn ring or to upgrade a DIY shooting area, this Rakon 18-inch steel hoop gives a professional-size target without the space or cost of a full stand or in-ground unit. Built for both indoor and outdoor use, the unit combines reinforced steel construction with a simple wall-mount layout so you can install a regulation-sized rim on driveways, gym walls, school courts, or backyard backboards.

How does this rim stand up to regular play and weather?

The Rakon rim uses reinforced, heavy-gauge steel engineered to resist bending and stay true through daily use. Its weather-ready finish reduces rust and surface wear, making the hoop suitable for covered gyms and open-air courts alike.

• Reinforced steel ring for reliable strength during dunks and repeated shots
• Weather-resistant coating to limit corrosion outdoors
• Sturdy wall-mount plate that spreads impact forces across the mounting surface

What makes this rim easy to install on my backboard or garage wall?

Installation focuses on a compact wall-mount design with pre-drilled holes sized for common fasteners, so most users can attach it to a wooden backboard, masonry wall, or sturdy garage beam. Basic tools—drill, wrench, and anchors—are all you need for a secure, space-saving setup.

• Pre-drilled mounting plate for straightforward alignment and bolting
• Compatible with common anchor types for wood, concrete, or metal framing
• Compact footprint that preserves driveway and garage floor space

Will this rim work with my existing backboard or court standards?

The 18" diameter follows standard rim dimensions, making it compatible with most recreational backboards and many commercial systems when mounting points align. It’s intended as a replacement or upgrade where a wall-mounted ring is appropriate rather than a full competition breakaway system.

• Standard 18" diameter to match common backboard openings
• Designed for retrofit projects on home, school, and community backboards
• Ideal for practice courts, garages, and spaces that need a durable hoop without a portable base

How does the rim support different players and play styles?

The heavy-duty construction supports recreational shooting, aggressive play, and consistent practice for teens and adults. While not a mechanical breakaway rim built for professional dunking, it offers a solid target and dependable mounting for everyday use.

• Stays rigid under regular shooting and driving to the basket
• Suited for skill drills, team practice, and casual play
• Works well for family courts, school gyms, and community centers

Who is this for? The Rakon 18" Heavy Duty Wall Mounted Basketball Rim is aimed at homeowners, coaches, rec centers, and schools that want a long-lasting, space-efficient hoop replacement. If you’re upgrading a DIY backboard, fixing a rusty old ring, or creating a compact practice area in a driveway or garage, this rim offers a straightforward, rugged solution without the expense or space requirements of portable or in-ground systems.
