Rakon 18" Replacement Basketball Rim — 18" Orange Folding Wall-Mount Hoop, Heavy-Gauge Steel, Weather-Resistant

Rakon 18" Replacement Basketball Rim is a heavy-duty, hand-crank, wall-mounted folding hoop built to fit most backboards and deliver consistent, all-weather performance for home, school, or park courts.

This 18" orange folding rim from Rakon provides a compact, professional-feeling goal you can mount at any height, indoors or out. Designed for aggressive play, the rim uses reinforced brackets and corrosion-resistant materials so it resists weather and stays secure during dunks and high-energy practice. It ships with mounting hardware and clear instructions so upgrading an existing backboard or installing a new wall-mounted hoop is straightforward.

How does this rim hold up to powerful play and long-term use?

The Rakon rim uses a reinforced frame and rock-solid wall brackets to reduce wobble and withstand vigorous use. Its folding design locks into position for rebounds and releases smoothly when folded against the wall to save space.

• Heavy-gauge steel construction for stability during contact play
• Reinforced mounting brackets distribute impact across the wall
• Folding hinge with secure latch for space-saving storage
• Durable paint finish resists chipping from repeated use

Is this rim suitable for outdoor installations and wet conditions?

Yes — components are made from corrosion-resistant metals and the included net is fade- and weather-resistant, so the rim performs well through rain and sun. Regular inspection and basic care extend life in coastal or high-humidity areas.

• Galvanized or coated hardware to limit rust
• Fade-proof net designed to retain color season after season
• Weather-ready finish that withstands UV exposure
• Recommended periodic tightening of fasteners for peak performance

Will this rim fit my current backboard and how hard is installation?

The Rakon 18" rim is built for universal compatibility with most standard backboards and comes with the necessary mounting hardware. Installation requires basic tools and two people for safe mounting; the package includes clear instructions to guide placement and height adjustment.

• Fits most regulation and recreational backboards
• Includes mounting bolts, brackets, and assembly instructions
• Hand-crank or latch system allows easy height positioning
• Recommended two-person lift for safe alignment and drilling

How does the folding feature help in daily use and storage?

The folding design makes the rim ideal for multi-use spaces: fold it up when the area is needed for other activities or to protect it during storms. When locked down, it provides the same stability as a fixed hoop for practice and play.

• Quick-release hinge folds rim neatly against the wall
• Saves space in garages, basements, and multi-purpose courts
• Folding protects the rim and net from accidental damage
• Easy to lower back into playing position with one-person operation

Who is this for? Players and organizers who need a robust, space-conscious hoop: families converting driveways or garage walls into practice areas, schools and community centers upgrading wall-mounted goals, or coaches wanting a dependable rim for drills. If you need a compact but durable replacement rim that fits many backboards and resists weather, the Rakon 18" folding wall-mount rim is built for frequent play without taking up permanent court space.
