Discraft Buzzz Midrange Disc Fuzed Z 175–176g — BuzzzSaw Textured Rim, Durable Controllable Flight

The Discraft Fuzed Z Buzzz (175–176 g) is a midrange disc that pairs Z plastic durability with a fused saw-blade texture for consistent, reliable flight and eye-catching surface effects.

This Fuzed Z version of the classic Buzzz blends Discraft's stiff Z plastic with another resin to create a disc featuring the unique "BuzzzSaw" molding — a saw-tooth pattern fused into the rim and top surface. The result is a midrange that feels familiar in the hand for Buzzz fans but introduces small tactile and visual differences that can slightly alter grip and stability. Available in competition weights around 175–176 grams, it suits players who want a durable, controllable midrange with collectible aesthetics.

How does the BuzzzSaw texture change grip and release?

The saw-blade pattern gives a subtly grippy surface without adding bulk to the rim, helping fingers find a repeatable release point. Throwers who prefer tactile feedback will notice more contact at release, which can aid in consistent hyzer-to-flat lines.

• Textured rim and top for improved finger traction
• Maintains a classic Buzzz rim shape for familiar release
• Saw pattern does not alter rim width significantly
• Good control in dry or slightly damp conditions

What flight characteristics should I expect from 175–176 g?

At 175–176 grams this Fuzed Z Buzzz sits in the comfortable midrange weight for most players, offering a steady, controllable flight with moderate fade at the end. It flies similarly to a standard Buzzz but may hold a straighter line for a bit longer thanks to the Z plastic’s stiffness.

• Reliable straight-to-fade midrange profile
• Good for controlled forehand and backhand shots
• Stable for headwinds when thrown with decent speed
• Predictable small fade for approach shots

How durable and playable is the Fuzed Z plastic blend?

Z plastic is known for its long-lasting stiffness and resistance to wear; fusing it with decorative resins keeps those durability traits while adding visual variety. Expect slow-to-develop beat-in characteristics so the disc retains its stability and flight numbers over many rounds.

• High resistance to scuffs and scratches
• Slow, predictable age-in behavior
• Consistent rim stiffness for repeatable throws
• Visually distinct finish without compromising playability

How can I best use this disc in my bag?

Use the Fuzed Z Buzzz as your primary midrange for approach shots, controlled hyzer-flats, and technical lines where accuracy matters more than maximum distance. It’s a versatile tool for both new players dialing throws and experienced players seeking a trustworthy, stiff midrange in competition weight.

• Reliable approach disc for 150–250 ft shots
• Great for tunnel or wooded line shots requiring precision
• Works well as a predictable forehand midrange
• Good backup midrange for rotating bag setups
